Volunteer & Internship Opportunities

Not every superhero wears a cape or a unitard! A majority of them are everyday heroes who help senior citizens get to their medical appointments, pharmacies, or even grocery shopping! Some of these heroes paint, do handy work, clean or bring their families to assist with yard work! Other heroes use their super hearing to simply listen to seniors and give reassurance. While these small acts of kindness may seem like nothing to you, they could quite possibly change the day, week, or month for a senior citizen with limited mobility or without transportation. Imagine the burden of having to see your doctor and not being able to get there!?

Your time will make an impact not only on individual lives but the senior community as a whole and that's a cause we all care about! We realize time is money and we don't want to take advantage of your generosity. Your time commitment is yours. We have people who volunteer 2 hours a month and others who volunteer 2 hours a day! Many of our volunteers do "one-offs", stepping in to help a senior with a singular task!

There are obvious benefits to our seniors but did we mention the studies that show people who volunteer live happier healthier lives!? We would love to have you and your super abilities here at the Saratoga Senior Center.

Internships and Community Service Opportunities

The Saratoga Senior Center partners regularly with local schools and organizations including National Honor Society, Key Club and Participation In Government classes.

The Center also provides opportunities for college students looking for volunteer hours or internships. Other opportunities and local groups include the Scouts, Rotary and Kiwanis. Get involved and make a difference!
