There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer or intern at the Saratoga Senior Center. Whether you are a retired senior who wants to build friendships or someone looking for a way to support your community, we have the right opportunity for you.

Internships and Community Service Opportunities

The Saratoga Senior Center partners regularly with local schools and organizations including National Honor Society, Key Club and Participation In Government classes.

The Center also provides opportunities for college students looking for volunteer hours or internships. Other opportunities and local groups include the Scouts, Rotary and Kiwanis. Get involved and make a difference!

The Community Connections Program trains volunteers to provide assistance to seniors in Saratoga County. Our mission is to help seniors age in place and maintain an independent lifestyle by providing assistance with:

  • Home Visits
  • Respite Assistance
  • Household Chores
  • Transportation
  • Shopping & Errands
  • Telephone Check-ins

The Saratoga Senior Center offers general volunteer opportunities within the center to all ages including:
  • Computer assistance
  • Van drivers for trips
  • Engaging with seniors around the center
  • Event help
  • Monthly dinners
  • Arts and entertainment (bring your talents)!

Board Service

The Saratoga Senior Center is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of community members who actively give of their time and professional experience to oversee the Center. This vital group is made up of healthcare professionals, lawyers, insurance experts, and other civic leaders. Board members participate in monthly board meetings and serve a 3-year term.
